Overview: The Microsoft Lync Ignite is a training workshop for partners and customers who are proactively looking to stay ahead of the market by delivering and using a highly reliable unified communications solution. The 4 day Ignite workshop includes presentations that cover a wide variety of Lync topics, and hands-on labs that create an interactive Lync experience.


Trainer: Mr. Desmond Lee, MVP, MCT


Desmond Lee currently supports the Lync 2013 operations at Credit Suisse in Zurich, Switzerland.


He is experienced as an Architect and Principal Consultant and specializes in end-to-end enterprise infrastructure solutions built around proven business processes and people integration across various industries. From concept, design, engineering and operations since Live Communications Server to Lync Server 2013 on-premises to the cloud, he brings with him over a decade of global field experience in the Unified Communications, Collaborations and IP Telephony field.

Desmond has been rewarded by Microsoft with the Most Valuable Professional (MVP Lync Server) award for his passion and volunteer work in the IT community. Currently he is the only one such in Switzerland. He is also a long-time Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) and founder of the Swiss IT Pro User Group (, an independent, non-profit organization for IT Pros by IT Pros championing Microsoft technologies.

An established speaker at major international and regional events known for his real-world insights, Desmond contributes frequently to several highly rated publications and engages as a moderator in popular Microsoft public forums/newsgroups. You can follow his IT adventures at
